The Portable Gaming Console Case pattern is a sewing pattern based on my wildly popular Nintendo Switch cases. The downloadable PDF includes all pattern pieces (no measure and cut!) and fully illustrated instructions on how to construct the case. Note that this pattern is for intermediate sewists who have experience with zippers and elastic.
The finished product will measure 10” wide, 5” tall, 1” deep, just big enough to fit the Nintendo Switch. The back includes a zippered pocket with elastic-based card slots to comfortably store up to 8 game cartridges.
Note that the interior isn’t pictured, because there are no interior features. It’s just a plain lining and that is because it assumes the controllers are attached to the console and could get snagged on any slip pockets or zips on the inside. The zippered pocket is on the back!
This will work for the new Switch Lite. If you would like a tighter fit, you only need to remove 1/4” from the center folds on the pattern pieces.
